Before getting your tivo find out all the different components you need not only from tivo but also from your cable company. Remember cable loses money on tivo and are not happy with you switching from their dvr box. you need an m-card and a tuning adapter from the cable company,get them beforehand. set up your tivo 48 hours ahead of time. This downloads all you need for the installation
